Class Descriptions
Aerobics and conditioning classes are FREE and available to facility members only ages 14 and up. Monthly class schedules are available online or at the member service desk. If you are new to a class, please let the instructor know before the class starts. 24-hour sign ups are required for some classes. Call the Welcome Center to sign up.Aerobic Dance
- Zumba™: Latin-infused cardio dance, so fun you don’t notice you are sweating your tail off!
- Zumba Gold™: Latin fusion cardio dance for anyone wanting a low impact workout. Let the rhythm move you.
- Fusion hip-hop/funk: The latest in club moves with the best music grooves around, broken down in a step-by-step format. You’ll sweat before you know it!
- BellyDance: Middle eastern movement and rhythms help you burn calories and tone abs. Veil work may also be done in this class, depending on the facility.
- Cardio Box: Just want to punch? This class is for you! A great cardio workout and shoulders, chest, back and arms of steel besides!
- Sculpt/Sculpt Express: Basic body muscular conditioning using resistance balls, rubber resistance, benches, dumbbells and body bars (equipment varies by center). The express version is a 30-minute class.
- Just Weights: No frills, no fuss, straight-up strength with barbells/weight plates, dumbbells, and a bench. Throw in some abs, and you’ve got an AWESOME power-packed class.
- Step: This workout is for all who love or want to love step! Enjoy mixed-impact choreography, broken down in a learn-able format.
- Basic Step: Our Basic version gets you started on the right foot with simple choreography and lighter intensity.
- Ultimate Circuit: Intensity and fun all in one class? Drills, games, variable equipment (depending on center) and strength are the core of this challenging class.
- Ultimate Cardio: A total cardio workout! Have fun with all the equipment in the closet and a variety of drills (sports, agility, running, jumping, mixed-impact) to get your heart and lungs stronger and healthier.
- Group Cycle: Water and towel are required.
- Cycle: Enjoy an outdoor activity inside! Beginners and advanced participants can benefit in the same class. Burn up to 500 calories in just 40 minutes! New students should arrive early for proper bike set-up and instruction.
- Basic Cycle: An intro-level class designed you help you learn the bike and learn the format in a less-intense environment.
- Endurance Cycle: Maximize your training time with a 75 or 90 minute ride, depending on center.
- Basic Yoga: Practice basic yoga postures and relaxation techniques to improve flexibility, balance and increase strength.
- Flow yoga: Movement-focused yoga, intermediate to advanced pose-work, though all levels are welcome. Students will expand their practice and grow in strength, flexibility and balance.
- Restorative yoga: Gentle yoga with a focus on healing. Students may be assisted by a chair or other props depending on center.
- Iyengar Basic Yoga: Introductory Basic Yoga focusing on the basic actions in standing and seated poses. Iyengar uses a variety of props to make postures accessible for everyone.
- Family Basic Yoga: Designed for all generations, ages 4 and up.
Fusion classes: Enjoy two or more of your favorite formats together in the same hour. These formats will vary by center. It’s a great way to sample a lot of classes in a little time! Some examples include: Pilates/Yoga Fusion, Cycle/Sculpt Fusion, Step/Sculpt Fusion.
Youth Fitness Classes
- Kids Fitness: Youth ages 14 & up can join any group fitness class scheduled. See Hang Time for Kids Fitness Schedule. New youth wellness room with circuit classes. Youth circuit classes located in Fitness Zone.
- Homeschool PE: Mon/Wed from 12-2pm tenured program and instructors using youth circuit, swimming and the gymnasium.
- Exerkids: Playground games get a kick with this 30-minute boot-camp inspired workout class for kids ages 7-13. Exerkids meets on Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-6pm in the South Gym.

SilverSneakers® I Muscular Strength & Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
SilverSneakers® SilverSplash®
Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety! SilverSplash® offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination.
SilverSneakers® YogaStretch
YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
