New Membership Categories

One (1) One adult age 29-61. |

Two (2) Two adults ages 29-61 who live in the same household. Examples: Married couple; two roommates. |

One Plus (1+) One adult and one or more dependents living in the same household. Examples: Single parent and dependents; one adult and one dependent. |

Two Plus (2+) Two adults plus one or more dependents*, who live in the same household. Examples: Married couple and children; two adults and dependents; two grandparents and grandchildren. |

Three Plus (3+) Three adults plus dependents living in the same household. Examples: Husband, wife, one grandparent and dependents; three adults with or without dependents. |

Four Plus (4+) Four adults, plus one or more dependents*, living in the same household. Examples: Husband, wife, grandparents and dependents; four adults (with or without dependents). |

New Membership Categories — Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
*Effective December 16, 2009, the YMCA's 2010 membership rates will go in to effect. The new rate will be drafted beginning Jan. 1, 2010. Members paying by invoice will recognize the rate change when the next payment is due. If you are currently receiving assistance through the YMCA's Open Doors program, your rate will also reflect these changes.
Program Memberships
For those who would prefer to participate in programs and lessons only, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee offers a program membership for an annual fee of $45. This annual membership is available for programs such as youth sports or swimming lessons and is renewable on an annual basis. These fees are in addition to the fees of our programs.You may upgrade your program membership to a YMCA facility membership and apply the program membership fee toward your joining fee at any time during your 12-month program membership.
Center-only Memberships
While an association-wide membership will provide you the best opportunity to discover all the YMCA has to offer you, center-only memberships are offered to members in the following situations:- Have a household income that qualifies them for financial assistance under the YMCA's Open Doors program
- Live near a center located in a remote area or in neighborhoods with special socio-economic status
