Swim Lessons

YMCA Swim Lessons are offered throughout the year in our indoor pool. Our classes are outlined by the National YMCA of the USA Swim Program. All classes are registered by age. Classes must meet minimum enrollment numbers to hold class. Schedules are subject to change. Registration fees must be paid prior to class.
Swim Lessons Information

Y Swim Lessons For Adults
This class is perfect for those who have limited swimming skills and who would like to improve their stroke techniques and endurance. Classes currently meet on Saturdays. Contact the Y for further information.

Private Swim Lessons

Private lessons can be scheduled at your convenience. Lessons are 30 minutes in length. We also schedule semi private lessons—by sharing the time with a friend or family member, you can cost-effectively maximize your lesson time!

Lifeguarding Classes

Learn how to become a certified lifeguard. Minimum age is 15 years. Participants must be able to swim 500 yards without stopping, and submerge to at least a 10 foot depth. Classes offered seasonally.

Water Aerobics

All the benefits of aerobic exercise with less stress on your joints. Water aerobics is a great program for beginners and also provides a therapeutic environment for recovery, prenatal and postnatal exercise, sports-related injuries, cross-training for regular exercisers, high intensity workout without joint stress or just a relaxing stretch class. Water can be many things to everyone! It is the ultimate workout!

Aqua Motion Classes
This class is designed for individuals who need to exercise at a slower pace than our regular water aerobics classes. The primary focus is to improve range of motion and build endurance through light cardiovascular activity. This class is perfect for those with arthritis.
