Leaders Club
One of the oldest, strongest, most elite leadership clubs for 13-18 year olds in Nashville, the Green Hills Family YMCA Teen Leaders Club is for teens who want to excel in character-development and volunteering, along with academics, sports, fitness and have a lot of fun.
Approximately 25 teens from over 10 area middle and high schools attend weekly meetings and seasonal rallies in other states, sponsor events for other age groups such as Middle School Madness, hold various responsibilities at the YMCA, participate in community service and YMCA sponsored projects and more. All of these activities build toward the ultimate road trip in June 2007 — a week at the largest leadership-training school in the nation, Blue Ridge Leaders School in the beautiful Black Mountains of North Carolina. This is the place for teens to develop and "prove themselves" as good, dependable leaders. Some of our members also attend the Blue Ridge Christian Values Conference which is also located in the Black Mountains. This conference allows high school teens to come out of their "shells" and be in fellowship with others. The people you meet at both of these conferences live anywhere from Florida to Texas and the friendships you make will last a lifetime. The Green Hills Teen Leaders Club meets every Monday from 6-7pm in the Upstairs Conference Room above the main lobby. Come by and join us sometime! Please contact advisor Jeremy Street at 615-565-6269 for more information.
