Remember the fun of camp when you were young? Swimming, fishing, archery, arts & crafts, horseback riding and so much more. Summer camp brings back many memories to campers young and old. It is a
powerful experience that can strengthen the values that you, as parents, are teaching daily. Camp Widjiwagan strives to provide a unique adventure that, by its very nature, begins to enhance your camper's
potential in spirit, mind and body.
Camp Widjiwagan is blessed with a splendid natural setting on 305 wooded acres at the Joe C. Davis YMCA Outdoor Center overlooking
J. Percy Priest Lake. Because of generous community support, campers can look forward to more new facilities this summer including a new amphitheater and expanded waterfront, complete with a rope swing and a new waterslide. Of course, campers will continue to enjoy our popular equestrian center, Bank of America
Alpine Tower, Bridgestone/Firestone Waterfront Park, banana boats, secluded campsites, News Channel 5 Airnasium, high ropes course, zip line, sports and athletic fields, street hockey arena, tennis and sand volleyball courts, Malibu ski boats, BellSouth tower, and the popular Chairman's Water Park.
In this safe, healthy environment, campers experience great outdoor adventures while they develop new skills, good sportsmanship, self-confidence and Christian character. Camp Widjiwagan is a camp that plants seeds of Christian character in kids and families, impacting Nashville and neighboring communities through outdoor programs that are designed to encourage participants to grow in spirit, mind and body. Through small group activities, your camper will share rewarding interpersonal relationships with young people who have common values and diverse experiences.
Keep in mind that Camp Widjiwagan has an
Open Doors policy and is available to all children ages 6-13, from all backgrounds, abilities and incomes. No child should miss the opportunity to spend an unforgettable summer filled with new friends and experiences.
