FACILITY INFORMATION

FiftyForward Partnership

Our partnership provides members with opportunities for a healthy lifestyle while encouraging social and community involvement.  All Bellevue Family YMCA members age 50 and over are automatically members of the FiftyForward J.L. Turner Center, which provides health, wellness, nutrition, computer and art groups/classes, travel, genealogy and socially based interest groups.  Community business partners sponsor health and wellness screenings, walking groups, lunch programs and community volunteer projects for members.  Contact Liz Martin, Director, at (615) 646-9622 for more details.

STAR Physical Therapy Clinic

Located within our facility, this clinic features a diverse offering of quality services and you do not have to be a YMCA Member to have physical therapy here.  YMCA Members are able to receive free injury assessments.  Clinic Hours are Monday/Wednesday 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Friday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Contact (615) 646-0364 for information or to schedule an appointment.

Welcome Center

Our Welcome Center is your first stop when you come to the Y. Here you'll find staff members ready to scan your membership card, check in guests, register for programs and find the answers to questions you may have about the Y.

Wellness Center

Our newly renovated and expanded Wellness Center includes more than 12,000 square feet of space spread across three exercise floors. The area is filled with the space and equipment you need to complete almost any kind of workout you have in mind.

Wellness staff members are always on hand to help answer any questions you may have during your time on the wellness floor. They can also connect you with both free and fee-based programs and services to help you set and achieve your health and fitness goals.

Wellness Center at a Glance
Square feet: More than 12,000
Cardio equipment: More than 80 pieces, most of them with TVs (earphones required for sound).
Strength training equipment: Approximately 75 machines
Number of free weights: 300
Sweat towel availability: No

Group Exercise Facilities

We offer group exercise classes in five different areas of the Y. Group Fitness Studios 1 and 2 are where the vast majority of our group fitness classes are held. No matter the location, all group fitness classes come stocked with all of the equipment (mats, stability balls, weights, etc.) you'll need during your class.

Check our group fitness calendar for the most up-to-date information on class times and locations.

Classes offered (per week): 150

Most popular classes: Zumba, Circuit Blast, Les Mills BodyPump, Yoga

Usage policy: For your safety, members are not allowed to exercise alone in the group fitness studios. You must be part of a scheduled class or other group activity organized by the Y.

Indoor Cycling Studio

Our recently renovated and expanded indoor cycling studio offers classes to get your heart spinning every weekday evening and Saturday mornings. The room comes stocked with stationary bikes from Live Strong and StarTrac.

Reservations policy: You may reserve a spot in an indoor cycling class by visiting the Welcome Center or calling us no more than 24 hours in advance of the class you wish to attend.  During hours where classes are not in session, members are welcome to spin on one of the bikes located on the mezzanine level of our new Wellness addition.

Locker Rooms

We offer three locker rooms—for men, women and families—to allow you to dress, shower and change before and after your workout. The rooms include individual lockers, hair dryers, showers, bathing suit dryers, restroom facilities and changing stations. There are also two private changing areas with a bench and curtain.

The men's and women's locker rooms are open to ages 16 and up. The family locker room is open to parents and children under the age of 16. Be sure to remember to bring your own lock and towel if you wish to shower or use the swimming pool, sauna, Whirlpool or steam room.

Sauna, Whirlpool and Steam Room

Soothe and refresh your tired muscles in our sauna, Whirlpool or steam room. All are located in the pool area and open to members ages 16 and up.

Indoor Swimming Pools

Our indoor lap and recreation pools provide members of all ages the chance to experience the benefits of water exercise (and have a little fun, too).

The lap pool is 25 yards in length, five-foot deep and has three lanes available for lap swimming (except when used by our YMCA swim teams). The recreation pool is 4-1/2-feet deep and features two big slides, a whale slide, two water guns and a handful of water spouts. Both pools are kept at a target temperature of 82-86 degrees Fahrenheit.

When using the pool area, be sure to bring your own towel. Pool hours typically run from the time the Y opens until 30 minutes before the facility closes.

Gymnasium

While a little shy of being a regulation-size basketball court, our 75x40-foot gymnasium still gives you the chance to enjoy a wide range of indoor sports and activities—from full-court basketball to volleyball, youth activities and more. Gym hours and scheduled activities, including open play hours, are posted outside the gymnasium doors.

Indoor Track

The indoor track is located above the Wellness Center and accessed via a stairwell and elevator near the center of the Y. Thirteen laps around the track equals one mile.

While the track is open to all members, children ages 12 and under need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Outdoor Track

Y volunteers and staff members worked together to design and build the outdoor track located down the hill from the front of the Y. The track is covered in wood chips and is the perfect place for members of all ages to enjoy a walk or jog outside (four laps equal one mile).

Sports Field

We operate one large outdoor field suitable for outdoor play. When not in use for personal training, boot camps, day camps or another program, the field is open for use by members.

Chapel

Our chapel area is located in an open area near the Welcome Center, and offers a place for reading, prayer and other spiritual purposes.

Y-Play

More than just a safe place to look after your children while you work out, our Y-Play service offers children ages 6 months to 6 years the chance to get the most out of their own visit to the Y through playing, learning and staying physically active.

Additional Information
Children may stay at Y-Play for up to two hours per day and a maximum of nine hours per week.

Parents/guardians are the only adults authorized to leave a child with Y-Play, and are required to remain on-site at the Y during their child's visit. Only the parent or guardian who signs a child into Y-Play may sign them out or pick them up.
