Group Fitness

Group fitness classes are FREE and available to facility members only ages 14 and up. Monthly class schedules are available online and at the Member Service desk. In addition, we offer First Steps to Fitness -- suggested classes for beginners. If you are new to a class, please let the instructor know before the class starts. Be sure to check out our water aerobic class offerings too!

Class Offerings

Kickbox: Learn mixed-intensity kick and punch combinations peppered with jump ropes, drill work, and heavy bags.

Pilates: Mat based class designed to stretch and strengthen your core muscles while incorporating breath work.Reformer Based:Fee based class that incorporates the Pilates Reformer to encourage range of motion, correctness of form, and core stability.

Zumba: Latin infused cardio dance so fun you don't realize you are sweating your tail off!

Fusion: Enjoy two or more popular formats at the same time. Check the schedule for specific combinaitons!



Sculpt: Basic body muscular conditioning using resistance, balls, rubber resistance, benches, hand weights, etc. (eqpt. varies by center)

SilverSneakers(R) I: Muscular Strength and Range of Motion class for the active older adult. Designed to enhance their daily life by increasing muscualr strength and overall range of motion. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are used for resistance training. Chairs are used for support while seated or standing.

Indoor Cycling
Water required *towel provided at MFY* Reserve your bike 24 hours in advance by calling 373-2900. Enjoy an outdoor activity inside. Beginners and advanced participants can benefit in the same class. Burn up to 500 calories in just 40 minutes! New students should arrive early for proper bike set-up and instruction.

Step
This workout is for all who love or want to love step! Enjoy mixed-impact choreography broken down in a learn-able format.

Yoga
Practice yoga postures and relaxation techniques to improve flexibility, balance, and increase strength. See schedule for specific styles and levels.


Aqua Aerobics: A well rounded and fun water workout that includes cardio conditioning and muscle strengthening using various equipment and water resistance.

Tai Chi: A unique Martial Art that promotes healing, range of motion, relaxation/stress relief and strength.
