Group Fitness
Group fitness classes are FREE and available to facility members only ages 14 and up. Monthly class schedules are available online and at the Member Service desk. In addition, we offer First Steps to Fitness -- suggested classes for beginners. If you are new to a class, please let the instructor know before the class starts. Kickbox: Learn mixed-intensity kick and punch combinations peppered with jump ropes, drill work, and heavy bags. Pilates: Mat based class designed to stretch and strengthen your core muscles while incorporating breath work.Reformer Based:Fee based class that incorporates the Pilates Reformer to encourage range of motion, correctness of form, and core stability. Zumba: Latin infused cardio dance so fun you don't realize you are sweating your tail off! Fusion: Enjoy two or more popular formats at the same time. Check the schedule for specific combinaitons!
SilverSneakers(R) I: Muscular Strength and Range of Motion class for the active older adult. Designed to enhance their daily life by increasing muscualr strength and overall range of motion. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are used for resistance training. Chairs are used for support while seated or standing. |
