Wellness
The YMCA movement and its commitment to health and wellness is so strong, it even created the sports of basketball and volleyball, as well as YMCA methods for swim instruction that have become the standard in teaching people how to swim. However, fitness is just one part of a larger whole, not a separate activity of the YMCA's other programs and services. The YMCA has never focused on the body alone, because for over a century the Y has recognized that a person achieves total health when his/her spirit, mind and body are balanced.

Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body with intentions of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Massage has been proven to reduce stress, release muscular tension, increase circulation, decrease recovery time after injury or physical activity, and fulfill the need for the human touch. Massage techniques available include Swedish, neuromuscular therapy, sports, prenatal, infant, and chair. Please contact Beverly Hood or Scott Vandiver in advance to make your appointment.
