At the Y, we’re for Social Responsibility. That means giving millions of people in communities across the globe the chance to give back and serve others to make communities everywhere stronger. Guided by our Christian mission and values, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee has been listening and responding to this community’s most critical needs for more than 136 years now. Serving others is at the heart of who we are, and we know that when we serve together, we are better.

Whether developing skills or emotional well-being through education and training, welcoming and connecting diverse demographic populations through global services or building healthier communities through collaborations with policymakers, the Y fosters the care and respect all people deserve. From the volunteer youth sports coach to the volunteer leaders at YMCAs throughout Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky, we’re giving people opportunities to support their neighbors and make a real difference in the lives of others.
