The Foundation
The purpose of the Foundation is to provide an endowment fund that will
support the YMCA of Middle Tennessee for generations to come. The priorities of
the endowment are to support expansion of buildings and facilities, development
and training of professional leadership, major maintenance and extension of
services.
The endowment's principal remains intact, while earned income
goes to support the work of the YMCA. In this way, the Foundation's principal
grows through capital appreciation, and theYMCA receives revenue to further its
mission of being a worldwide charitable fellowship united by a common loyalty to
Jesus Christ for the purpose of helping persons grow in spirit, mind and body.
YMCA programs are available to all, and one fourth of members and program
participants receive financial assistance from the YMCA.
The
Heritage Club
Membership in the Heritage Club is reserved for those
who have chosen to support the YMCA Foundation of Middle Tennessee in their
estate plans, including insurance, bequest, charitable gift or another trust.
