INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

During the 12-week program, Hope for Health participants work with a YMCA Improving Health Coach to develop a holistic plan to start and sustain a healthy lifestyle. Coaches specifically help participants:

  • Assess their current health
  • Explore how to overcome social and emotional barriers that may be preventing them from living a healthier lifestyle
  • Set realistic goals
  • Build self-confidence
  • Increase physical activity
  • Improve eating habits
  • Maintain healthy habits after they leave the program

FREE TO PARTICIPANTS

Thanks to the generous contribution from an anonymous donor, Hope for Health is able to offer its services to participants free of charge. The gift was made to further the Y's efforts to cut youth obesity rates as part of our new Hope for Life strategic vision.
