Senior Activity Schedule
The Arthritis Aquatic Program is a recreational program for
people who suffer from arthritis or who have trouble with pain and
stiffness in their joints. The program is certificied by the YMCA of
the USA and the Arthritis Foundation. Teachers leadparticipants through
a series of specific activities designed to improve joint flexivility
and muscle strength. The warm water and gentle movements are also
helpful in relieving pain and stiffness.
Senior Fit
Join us for this fun filled class that will improve your overall health
and build functional strength for your everyday activities! Enjoy 20
minutes each of cardio, strength and strech.
Yoga
Wring out the tension with this total mind/body fitness class. It is a holistic program of exercise, breathing, and relation techniques designed to improve or maintain quality of life.
Muscular Strength & Range of Movement (SilverSneakers I)
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. All Fitness Levels.
