Johnathon's Ride Blog
April 27
Johnathon left this morning and has arrived in Chattanooga, TN safe and
sound after 110 miles. His biggest day is tomorrow (April 28) -- he plans to ride 147
miles. Johnathon says he feels good and is going to get some good
rest tonight to be ready for a big day tomorrow. Thanks to all of our
sponsors and supporters! Please be sure to make your pledge to the Putnam County Family YMCA's We build People Learn to Swim
program.

On the second day of his trip, Johnathon rode over 150 miles from Chattanooga, TN to Birmingham, AL. It was a long, hot day, but Johnathon got some good R&R the previous night. He started off his third day this morning (4/29) with a big breakfast. He has roughly 102 miles to cover on his way from Birmingham to Montgomery. He is feeling good and it's looking a little overcast today so that should provide some relief from the heat. Thank you to all those who are continuing to make pledges and help make this ride a success.

Johnathon had an awesome ride yesterday from Montgomery to Enterprise, AL. He rested overnight in Enterprise and got cranking on his last leg of the trip. He will ride today (5/1) from Enterprise to Panama City, FL, completing his 537 mile trip. Johnathon has helped raise over $2,000 for the $55,000 goal of the community campaign. The fundraiser, We Build People, is what solely supports the YMCA’s Learn to Swim Program. This program has given more than 10,000 2nd graders in Putnam County six Y swim lessons free of charge. Johnathon asked to please continue to make donations. You make a difference with every chance you give a child to participate. Have a safe trip home and we will see you next week!
