Program Memberships
For those who would prefer to participate in programs and lessons only, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee offers a program membership. This annual membership is available for programs such as youth sports or swimming lessons and is renewable on an annual basis. These fees are in addition to the fees of our programs.

Program Membership $45 annually

Upgrade your program membership to a YMCA facility membership and apply the program membership fee toward your joining fee at any time during your 12-month program membership.

Centers and Membership
We have many different centers across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky and each one is unique in its own way. With our association-wide membership, you can discover for yourself the special qualities that each center has and enjoy them all.

We also offer a center-only membership for those who qualify for the Open Doors Income-based Rate Scale, for centers in remote locations, and for centers in neighborhoods with special socio-economic status. Center-only memberships are valid at that center only, but also provide members with a program membership that may be used at any center within the association.

Membership Assistance Program
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is dedicated to keeping our programs and services available to all, regardless of ability to pay. We offer membership assistance through the Incomebased Rate Scale (IBRS), a sliding fee scale for both facility and program members. IBRS participants’ membership fees will correspond to their household income level. Should your circumstances/situation change during the course of your membership, please inquire as to how we can help.

If you are currently receiving membership assistance through IBRS, you will be required to reapply every year by your anniversary date. You will receive a reminder and be asked to bring updated income verification to the Y. This helps us continue to offer assistance to others who may be in need.

Reduced rates through IBRS may also apply to certain programs such as aquatics, gymnastics and youth sports. Please check with our Welcome Center for a list of programs that are eligible for program assistance. Memberships through IBRS are guaranteed the same quality of service as full-pay members.
