FirstBank

FirstBank strives to help the people in their communities build better futures. One of the ways they do this is by encouraging education and volunteerism in local schools. The relationship FirstBank has with the Y has been transformational for the North Nashville community. Regularly serving at Jones Paideia Magnet Elementary School, FirstBank has served over 475 hot, nutritious meals and volunteered 125 hours at the YMCA afterschool program. In an area where over 65% of homes are single-parent households and the Nashville Rescue Mission serves families year-round, FirstBank employees make an impact by being caring adults who are there to listen to our children when they face challenges and bring joy to them through tutoring and afterschool play.

When kids stay at the shelter, it can be a very stressful experience for them. Having the outlet of the YMCA’s afterschool programs gives them a positive experience during a difficult time in their lives. Thank you to the YMCA’s donors who make this possible
