The Y offers a small number of group-exercise classes for youth to attend. Help your child build strength and confidence in one of our youth-focused classes!
Youth-friendly Classes — Ages 10 and older
In addition to classes specifically designed for youth, a number of our group exercise classes are "youth-friendly" for youth 10 and older.
Youth may attend classes labeled "youth-friendly" based on the following guidelines:
- Children ages 10-11 can attend youth-friendly yoga and dance classes with a parent or guardian
- Youth ages 12 and older can go to youth-friendly classes on their own
- Teens ages 14 and older may enjoy any adult classes on their own
The circuit-style class helps youth foster positive attitudes and build teamwork skills. Foundational strength and cardio exercises along with dynamic stretching work the whole body. Class is geared towards ages 5-14, but all youth are welcome.
Anything goes with this fun movement class set to music. Kids will have a blast moving in rhythm to different styles of music! Choreography and music designed for ages 5-12.
An uplifting circuit style class designed to help girls ages 12-15 build power, strength, endurance and confidence. Come make new friends and listen to fun music while you work on your fitness. All fitness levels are welcomed and encouraged!
Teen Strength & Conditioning provides education and utilization on the proper mechanics & technical aspects of exercise. This class will help aid in the daily progression & maintenance of overall health and wellness by utilizing barbells, free weights, functional equipment, and more.
A Yoga class just for Teens to have fun getting fit! This class will help teens improve strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance while learning and exploring various Yoga poses. The deep breathing and relaxation portions of this class will help develop emotional equilibrium, self-esteem, and concentration.
