The Downtown Y is able to keep its doors open to all thanks to your generosity through the Annual Giving Campaign.
Last year, nearly 800 of our members received financial assistance and were able to access Y programs and services. The chart at right breaks down the make up of those members.

Learn to Swim

Last year, the Downtown YMCA provided life-saving swimming instruction to kids through Learn to Swim, an outreach program funded by the Annual Giving Campaign. This program extends to Glencliff and Pearl-Cohn high schools, along with the Donelson-Hermitage Y.

Providing Support

Your gift to the Annual Giving Campaign ensures the Downtown Y remains a place to belong and connect. Last year, more than 800 members received the financial assistance necessary to be a part of the caring community that is the Downtown YMCA.

Life can be stressful for today's teens, and they don't always have a safe place to go after school. Thanks to the support of the Annual Giving Campaign, the Downtown YMCA last year provided more than 350 teens with a place to unwind, get homework done and just focus on being a kid.
