Pool Renovation Project

As we update the pool and pool area we want to keep you informed! Thank you for your continued patience as we all navigate through the excitement and challenges of construction.

RENOVATION HIGHLIGHTS: Updates to our indoor aquatics area include new lighting, paint, an updated sprinkler system, new pool liners in both pools, new plumbing for the hot tub, and a completely new pool deck!

While construction timelines are always subject to change, we anticipate reopening our indoor aquatics area in early September. As a reminder, all Sumner County members are welcome to utilize any of our YMCA of Middle Tennessee branches throughout construction.

Know Before You Go

As we begin to prepare our facility for construction, here are important details to know:

INDOOR AQUATICS AREA CLOSED: Due to the scope of work being done to the indoor aquatics area, this entire space (including sauna, steam room, and whirlpool) will be closed from August 1 – early September. 

All indoor aquatic classes are canceled. We have adjusted our aquatic group fitness schedule to accommodate as many classes as possible. Some classes will be held in the outdoor pool, while others will be temporarily canceled until building updates are completed. August group fitness schedules are available and can be found linked below, as well as at the Welcome Center.

We will have a scan station available to members in the hallway near Y-Play, allowing those utilizing the outdoor pool easier access to the locker rooms and showers. We have also added a temporary outdoor shower and changing area for members’ convenience.

Upcoming Projects

WELLNESS FLOOR: Our biggest update will be in the Wellness II area of our center. From Thursday, September 1 - Monday, September 12, this entire area will be closed to members. Construction crews will be present as we receive new equipment, replace the flooring, and complete deep cleaning. 

BASKETBALL GYM AND GROUP FITNESS STUDIO A: Our basketball gymnasium and group fitness studio floors are being refinished. Both of these spaces will be closed to members starting Tuesday, September 6 - Tuesday, September 13. During this closure, all regularly scheduled classes or programs, held in these areas, will be canceled unless otherwise noted on our app. We will keep all class schedules updated here.
